Beef Shares Available

SOLD OUT!

Pasture raised. Grass fed. Grain finished.

Know who your food comes from. Walker Ranch is selling beef shares in the Fall of 2020. We raise our Black Angus cattle on a diet of grass, grain, and hay. We feel some variation in their diet is beneficial. Beef is hand-cut to order into steaks, ground beef, roasts, and other cuts.

You are buying a share of a live steer. The price is based on the hanging weight – $4 per pound – paid to Walker Ranch. “What is this actually going to cost me?” The average side share of beef is 300 pounds. At $4 per pound, that equals $1200.

Processing is $35 plus $0.61 per pound (cut and wrap) paid to the butcher, M&M Custom Butchering. Beef will be dry aged for 14 days. You can call the butcher and order the cuts you want.

*Prices and weights are subject to change and are not guaranteed.
