Pecans, Poultry, & Seasonal Harvests
At Walker Ranch, we don’t just raise cattle—we also care for a variety of seasonal products grown and gathered right here on the land. Whether it’s hand-harvested pecans or eggs collected fresh each morning, everything we offer is raised or grown with integrity, transparency, and sustainability in mind.
Pecans: Grown with Patience, Harvested with Care
Our pecan trees have deep roots—literally and historically. Oklahoma pecans thrive in our soil and climate, producing nuts with a buttery texture and naturally sweet flavor. Each fall, we harvest our pecans by hand, then clean, shell, and package them ourselves.
We offer both in-shell pecans, great for those who like to crack them fresh, and cracked pecans, ready to use for baking, snacking, or gifting. Pecans are typically available from October through January, depending on weather and yield.
Storage Tip:
Pecans are rich in healthy oils, which makes them delicious—but also perishable. Store them in airtight bags in the freezer for long-term freshness (up to two years), or in the fridge for up to 6–12 months depending on shelling.
Poultry: Pasture-Raised Eggs & More
Our chickens and ducks enjoy true pasture life—wandering, foraging, and dust-bathing all day on open grassland. They supplement their foraged diet with high-quality feed during harsh weather, but otherwise rely on what nature provides: seeds, grubs, and greens.
The result? Happier birds and more nutritious eggs. Studies show that pasture-raised eggs contain:

…compared to conventional eggs.
We offer multi-colored farm-fresh eggs—white, brown, blue, cream, and green—gathered daily and packaged by hand.
Seasonal Extras
Throughout the year, we may offer other fruits, vegetables, or homemade goods when the garden is generous—if we don’t eat them first!
